LeakVoid helps creators send takedown notices for copies of their own work posted without permission. You review and sign, we send. LeakVoid is open.
Who runs LeakVoid
LeakVoid is run by Leak Void LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
Write to us at hello@leakvoid.com. We are also on X at @leakvoidhq.
LeakVoid has no public team page and no person byline on its guides. The guides are published by the LeakVoid team.
What LeakVoid does
LeakVoid will:
- Draft takedown notices for the links you send us, for you to review and sign.
- We email each notice you sign to sites that take notices by email, and show whether each link is still up. No notice goes out without your signature.
- Show you anything uncertain before a notice is even drafted.
- Prepare search engine removal requests and walk you through submitting them on Google's own form.
- Prepare reports on fake accounts you point out to us, for you to file yourself.
- Forward any counter-notice to you.
- Leave your own pages and your allow list alone.
What LeakVoid doesn't do
- It doesn't promise removal. Nobody honestly can. Sites, hosts, platforms and search engines decide for themselves. Some ignore notices, some sit outside the United States, and new copies can appear any time. Nobody can promise every link comes down.
- It doesn't give legal advice. We're not a law firm, and using LeakVoid does not make us your lawyer. We never file a lawsuit or any court paper for you. For legal advice, talk to a licensed attorney.
- It doesn't sell your data. We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or use your content to train AI for anyone else. Read our Privacy Policy.
Our Terms and Privacy Policy are published. The signing authorization will be published at launch. Until then, the FAQ answers the most common questions.
Editorial policy
Our guides explain the public processes creators use to protect their work: takedown notices, counter-notices, search engine requests and searching for copies. This is how we make them.
Who publishes them. Guides are published by Leak Void LLC. Each guide carries the byline "By the LeakVoid team." We don't put a person's name on a guide, and we never use an invented name, photo or credential.
Where the facts come from. We use primary sources: the text of U.S. law, the U.S. Copyright Office, and the help pages of the companies whose processes we describe. When a guide quotes a source, the quote is exact. Each guide lists its sources at the end with the date they were checked.
How they are checked. Each guide's facts are checked against the primary sources it cites, as of the "Last reviewed" date shown on the guide. Sources can change after that date, so if something matters to you, open the source itself. This is a check against sources. It is not a legal review, and it doesn't mean a lawyer has looked at your situation. If we can't confirm a fact from a source, we leave it out. Legal points are general information, not legal advice, and each guide says so at the top.
What every guide includes. A "Not legal advice" note, the sources with dates, and a "How this page is made" note. Our newer guides also have a "What nobody can promise" section and a "Do it yourself for free" section, which explains what you can do yourself without paying anyone. Each guide has one short section about LeakVoid, clearly headed. The rest is written to be useful whether or not you ever use LeakVoid.
What our guides never do. Promise removal or a timeframe (when a company publishes its own timing, we quote it as theirs), name sites that host leaks, or show real leaked material. Any example image is labelled "Illustration, not real data."
Dates and updates. Each guide shows when it was published and its "Last reviewed" date, which is the date its facts were last checked against its sources. We don't re-check guides on a fixed schedule. Company help pages change, so we re-check a guide's sources whenever we update it and change its "Last reviewed" date when we do.
Corrections. If you find a mistake, write to hello@leakvoid.com with the page and what is wrong. We check it against the source, correct the page if it is wrong, and update its "Last reviewed" date.
